Progress Security Services was established as a family run business delivering manned guarding and asset protection system services.
A contract was signed with Network Rail which would lay the foundations for a 30+ year relationship of delivering exceptional services to the UK’s major railway stations.
The guarding side of the business was sold and the company was renamed Progress Fire and Security with an increased focus on asset protection systems.
The Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) certified us for excellence in delivering Visual Surveillance & Intruder Alarm System related services.
British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) certified us for meeting stringent standards in fire safety services, cementing our reputation as a market leader.
Castoman acquired Progress Fire and Security, introducing a new management team to drive growth, enhance efficiency, and foster stronger collaboration.
Managing Director
Leon has led a successful professional services consultancy since starting it in 2015. He joined Progress Fire in 2024, bringing his expertise and strategic vision to enhance our company’s culture and sustainable growth.

Dave is an accomplished company Director with 40 years’ experience leading high-performing teams. He combines financial expertise, operational excellence, and digital transformation skills to deliver lasting results.

Carl has 30 years’ experience in fire and security systems having been with Progress Fire since it’s early days. His expertise and leadership of our engineers ensures we deliver reliable, top-quality solutions for our clients.
